Day 71 – I’m coming home…

After 71 days I’m finally flying home!

I woke up at 7am this morning and visited the hare Krishna temple in Mumbai with my friends aunt. The temple itself was beautiful and we were there during the morning prayers. It was very lively in the temple with devotees dancing and singing…

Randomly I got talking to a girl in the temple whom I exchanged emails with. She took me to get a blessing, placed a fragrance on my hand which was very nice. Her and her husband were studying the bhagvad gita at the temple.

This morning was the perfect end to my India trip…I had breakfast with aunty@ a masala tea house, Mumbai has some tasty veg sandwiches! The menu at the place was soo funny! It was sad saying goodbye aunty, she is such a lovely woman who reminded me of my nan.

I had a nice conversation about Mumbai with the taxi driver and he told me of the CEO of Reliance lives in a 43 story building with only 4 members of the family and 60 servents!!—> now that seems excessive!

After a wild shopping spree in duty free I power walked to my gate, all the staff have been lovely in the airport. I was going to leave my yoga mat here because it weighs 1kg but they told me to try fit it in my obese suitcase, and it did!

The past 2 and half months was the beginning of a new journey. I feel soooo privallaged to have had the opportunity to pursue my dream studying yoga.A massive thanks to a few special people for encouraging me to do this. and that one who has been my rock throughout, filling my world with optimism everyday.

What have I learnt?

It is not essential to live life to any strict regime, don’t force yourself to do things you really don’t like doing. Live a life of truth, someone wise told me this last year, always be true to yourself and you will be content- this trip has reinforced that. Sometimes we worry ourselves searching for things, meanings, partners, but the most important thing is within you. Once you start realising your trueself you will struggle less with life. Life should be effortless….

Start Being then take action…
